From what I understand, the Team is very busy with the pending 3.0 release. Patience guys. Most of what has been covered at the conference is already on the forums in one shape or another.

I understand that the team was (probably still is!) very busy. But our company paid for us to attend the conference, and they expected some type of material for us to show them. All we had were a t-shirt, mug, nice hard-cover notebook and a pen (don't get me wrong; I love the trinkets!). The conference was an incredible experience, we learned a LOT, but we had no way to show this to the people who paid for it all.
The bottom line is that, if there ever is another Ext conference, we'll have no way to convince our company to send us again. In fact, they are not very thrilled when we ask for training or consulting from Ext. The sad part is that I can't think of what the huge impediment may be. We saw the slides at the conference. Have they been lost? How many hours (minutes!) would it take to put them up, at least some of them? We saw the cameras. Did something happen to them all? How much editing needs to be done to share at least part of the videos? Almost 4 months and a full release later, I'm still patiently waiting... |

Hi,
even i couldn't attend the conference i would be very interested. I also be cery happy that Tommy Maintz will be at the TYPO3 conference this year: http://t3con09.typo3.org/sessions/sp...r_detail_paper[uid]=95&tx_ptconfmgm_controller_detail_paper[pid]=192 So sad that i couldn't attend there but really happy that this was possible, hope he will be again at the TYPO3 developer days next year. For me as still feeling an ExtJS beginner it would be very interesting to know more about the concepts behind, code/API is readable all the time.

Is this topic even worth bumping any more, or should we just assume that if it hasn't happened in 4+ months, it's not going to happen?

We've had many issues with particular sessions and rooms making it difficult to place the content on the site. I just received the raw footage on HDs this week and will look to find a new resource to handle the post production given the state of the raw footage.
I've placed the Intro to Ext Core slides up: http://www.extjs.com/conference/sess...on.php?sid=175 but without the video/sound it makes it difficult(if not impossible) to follow. Fortunately, sessions that were recorded in the main ballroom had no issues. Now that we have the raw footage, we can complete the post production and place them on the site for your enjoyment. Douglas's keynote, Glen's awesome session, the Panels, and Jamie's session are in great condition. |

Just for a "the grass is greener" perspective, the recent jQuery conference (4 days ago?) has already posted 50% of their slides (16 out of 31).
http://events.jquery.com/jquery-conference-2009/ The ExtJS conference is up to 5% of the slides after 4 months (1 out of 18). So I see a bunch of complaints about this fact, and some people do consistently complain more than others, but I believe this really is a case where the grass is greener on the other side. Also, I like their conference shirts more than ours, even though we have a way better library ![]()

Just glad to see they haven't forgotten...I just about gave up. I already learned a couple of things, just looking through the ext.core slides...
