We are making good progress on the 1.2 release which includes drag and drop support. I thought I would give a preview of the new code here (http://extjs.com/explorer-dev/). Take a look at the drag and drop category in the demo. For SVN users, the code is in trunk.
Next up is data binding :).

Looks great! However, I found a bug. On the Drag n' Drop tree example, if don't drag an item over a folder on the tree you want to drop on, but still drag it over the tree control, it won't drop, but it will be removed from the source tree.
Hopefully that's clear enough.

This is fixed in SVN.

Looks great. Dragging elements between lists will be useful in many of my apps.

Great stuff!
Will it be possible drop areas on any widget, such as textAreas? i.e. will any widget implement the drag and drop interface?
Thanks

I have updated the DND examples (http://extjs.com/explorer-dev/#overview) which now include two lists examples. 1.2 will include 2 new form fields:
ListField - Similiar to ComboBox but supports multiple selections
DualListField - Combines 2 list fields and allows selections to be moved between lists either using buttons or drag and drop

The framework is generic and can be applied to any component

DND support is provided for lists (ListView)

Hi Darrell,
Great work, Drag and Drop is best feature to have. I hope this will also helpful in column reordering for Grid using Drag and Drop.
By when should we expect the GXT 1.2 release.
Thanks.

Thanks Darrell for your reply, great work! :D
One question. In the new List to List Dnd example, in the ListView Insert, will it be possible to reorder items in the list on the right using drag and drop? The example does not allow this after an item is dropped.
Thanks!

A drop target panel with magnetic line (optional) is a possibility ?
I try to use drag and drop with different sort of object, but this is not simple.
is there any news with 1.3 GXT ?
