Adobe AIR is a fascinating technology which allows you to use Web 2.0 technologies like Ajax and Flex on the desktop to create cross-platform applications. It provides developers additional functionality like file system integration, local database access, drag and drop integration, file associations and much more.

  • Learn how an application can be architected by breaking up functionality into subclasses
  • Learn about Ext's component model and the component life cycle
  • Learn how Ext can integrate with multiple platforms through Ext.Direct
  • Learn how to simplify your development paradigm with server-side remoting through Ext.Direct
Goals

During the session, attendants will learn how to architect an application allowing for concurrent development and maximum flexibility. Attendants will also learn about Ext's ground-breaking technology Ext.Direct which provides seamless communication between the client and server-side.

About the Presenter

Aaron Conran has been involved with Ext JS since the beginning and has an in-depth understanding of Ext JS internals and architecture. He has demonstrated a mastery of the Ext JS library and client-side development practices. He currently leads the client development services team and provides on-site training for enterprise customers.
